Siri calls Israel The "Zionist Occupation State"

A number of users discovered that Apple’s voice assistant “Siri” had an answer that was described as “anti-Semitic”. When answering the question “Who is the president of Israel?” Siri’s response to the question was, “Reuven Rivlin is the president of the Zionist occupation state.”

Many (pro-Israel) Apple users could not believe what they heard. Here is Rita Banahi of Sky News getting the same result in Australia:

Karol Markovich, the New York Post journalist, asked the question to Sri and got the same answer:

Anti-Semitism expert and former New York State House member Dov Hikind commented on the incident and said, “Apple should have a detailed explanation of this incident. Not only do they have to remove and replace this politicized outcome, but they have to deal and explain how and why this was published… We want answers. “

Many (especially those who are loyal to Israel) demand that Apple fixs this, as the message that was described as anti-Semitic remained unchanged for more than an hour.

According to the Post Millennium newspaper, the source of the problem is likely to be an “anti-Semitic” user who edited it on the Wikipedia site.

While that answer was canceled, an important question arose, “Why does Siri or rather Apple, rely on Wikipedia to provide information to its users?”
