These terms apply to your use of the Dam Writers website and to the purchase and delivery of the Content Audit. Please read them before you order. At checkout, we ask you separately to agree to these terms.
In short:
- One payment buys one automated audit of one public website. You get a web report and a PDF, and the report stays available for 30 days.
- You pay by iDEAL (sold by Dam Writers) or by card (sold through Link, a Stripe service). See section 4.
- Once your report has been delivered, you cannot cancel the purchase or get a refund, because before ordering you asked us to deliver it straight away and confirmed that you lose your right of withdrawal on delivery. See section 8.
- Until the report has been delivered, a consumer can withdraw and gets a full refund. If the report is not delivered, is empty or is materially defective, we redo the audit or refund you in full. See sections 7 and 8.
- Business buyers do not have a right of withdrawal.

2. The product
The Content Audit is a single automated content analysis of one publicly accessible website that you specify. One payment covers one audit and one report. The product is not a subscription and does not include a bundle, a bundle code or a right to multiple audits.
If delivery succeeds, you receive a personal web report with a downloadable PDF. Among other things, the audit assesses the clarity, positioning, trust, content structure and usability of the publicly available pages that can be collected within the limits of the analysis. No person reviews the report before it is delivered.
A manual audit carried out by a person is a separate service. We offer it on request, agree the price and details with you before you order, and invoice it directly. These terms apply to a manual audit only where we say so in that agreement.
3. Price and order
- The price of the Content Audit is €19.99 including VAT for orders placed up to and including 31 December 2026, and €29.99 including VAT for orders placed from 1 January 2027.
- The price shown on the payment page immediately before you pay is the price for that order. For card payments, the payment page may show the price converted into your local currency; the amount shown there is the amount you pay.
- There are no recurring charges. Another audit requires a new order.
Prices include VAT or any other sales tax that applies. For iDEAL payments, Dam Writers is the seller and charges Dutch VAT. For card payments, Link is the merchant of record and calculates and collects the tax that applies in your country (see section 4). For business customers, the payment page, receipt or invoice states the applicable tax treatment.
Your order is complete when the payment provider has confirmed your payment (or, for a card payment, the reservation of the amount) and our email service has accepted your order confirmation for sending. That order confirmation is sent to you by email, on a durable medium. It contains the main product and payment details, your statements at checkout and the version of these terms that you accepted.
4. How the audit and payment work
- You enter a publicly accessible URL and choose the audit details we ask for.
- Before payment, the tool runs only free safety, configuration and availability checks. At this stage, the paid audit services do not yet scan the website.
- You choose iDEAL or card and pay securely on a Stripe payment page.
- Once your payment (or card reservation) has been confirmed and our email service has accepted your order confirmation, the tool starts collecting a limited set of evidence from public web pages and runs the automated content analysis.
- When the report has been published, we email you a link to it and you can download the PDF.
iDEAL: Dam Writers is the seller and Stripe processes the payment for us. The full amount is paid immediately once your bank confirms the payment. If the audit definitively cannot be delivered, we automatically issue a full refund through Stripe to your original payment method. Stripe and your bank decide how quickly the refund appears; this can take a few working days. You can ask us for a VAT invoice.
Card (including Apple Pay, Google Pay and Link): card payments are sold through Link, a service of Stripe (called Onelink in the United Kingdom). Link is the merchant of record for the payment: the payment page shows “Sold through Link”, your card statement shows LINK.COM* (or onelink.com*), Link sends your receipt or invoice in its own name, calculates and collects the applicable tax, and handles questions about the transaction. Link’s own terms apply to the payment, alongside these terms. Dam Writers remains responsible for the audit, the report, its delivery and product support. Depending on the payment set-up, the amount is either reserved on your card and only taken once your report has been published, or taken when you pay. If the audit definitively cannot be delivered, the reservation is released or the payment is refunded in full. Your card issuer decides when a released reservation stops being visible.
5. Your obligations
- Only submit a URL that you are lawfully allowed to have analysed.
- Use a working, public web page without a login, and do not enter passwords, private links or other confidential information.
- Do not use the tool to bypass security, disrupt third parties, make excessive requests or process unlawful content.
- Check the URL, language, industry and payment details before you submit them.
- Use the report as an aid to professional judgement; check recommendations before you act on them.
6. Automated analysis and limitations
The report is put together using automated systems and artificial intelligence, based on the public website evidence collected. The outcome may be incomplete or contain errors, for example because of dynamic pages, blocking, temporary outages or information that is not publicly accessible. The scores, findings and recommendations are automated assessments and opinions. The report is for information only and is not legal, tax, financial or other regulated professional advice. Dam Writers does not guarantee any specific revenue, conversion, search engine or other business results.
7. Delivery and access
We deliver the report without undue delay once your payment (or card reservation) and the order confirmation have been accepted and the technical analysis is complete. The audit usually takes up to 10 minutes, but this is not guaranteed: the exact time depends on the website and on the availability of the systems involved. The report counts as delivered when it has been published and made available to you, and we email you a link to it. Paid access to the report remains available for 30 days from publication, so download the PDF in good time. After that period, the report is deleted and we cannot restore access.
If the report is not delivered, is empty or is materially defective (for example, the analysis failed, or the report is blank, largely missing or cannot be opened), please tell us. We will then redo the audit free of charge or, if that is not possible or does not solve the problem within a reasonable time, refund you in full. Disagreeing with the findings, scores or recommendations is not a defect and does not give a right to a refund. You keep the statutory rights that apply to digital content and digital services, and these terms do not limit any mandatory consumer rights.
8. Consumer right of withdrawal
Once your report has been delivered, you can no longer withdraw from the purchase or get a refund. This is because, before you order as a consumer, we ask you to tick two separate boxes:
- to expressly request that we start the audit and deliver your report immediately, before the 14-day withdrawal period has ended; and
- to acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once the report has been delivered.
We record both statements with your order and repeat them in the order confirmation we email to you. Paying on its own does not count as this request or acknowledgement. If they were not recorded, your full 14-day withdrawal period applies.
If you buy as a consumer, you have a 14-day withdrawal period that starts on the day the contract is concluded. Until your report has been delivered, you can withdraw without giving a reason: a card reservation is then released, and a payment we have received is refunded in full to the original payment method. If you buy for a business, you do not have a right of withdrawal. Your rights if the report is not delivered, is empty or is materially defective (section 7) always remain.
You can withdraw using the button below. It stays available during the withdrawal period, but a withdrawal only takes effect if it is made before your report has been delivered (or, if the statements above were not recorded, within the full 14 days).
You can also send an unambiguous statement to info@damwriters.com within the period, or use the model form at the bottom of this page. Please include your order reference if possible. You do not have to give a reason. We confirm receipt of your withdrawal, with its content and the date and time we received it, on a durable medium without undue delay. Any refund due is made without undue delay and within 14 days at the latest, using the original payment method, unless you expressly agree otherwise. We do not charge you anything for the refund.
For card purchases sold through Link, Link’s own terms also give you ways to ask Link for a cancellation or refund, for example within 60 days if the product was not delivered or is significantly not as described, or within a cooling-off period, through Link’s customer support. Link decides on those requests under its terms. They are offered by Link and do not create a right to cancel or a refund from Dam Writers beyond this section.
9. Intellectual property
The Dam Writers website, software, audit method, design and standard texts are protected. After payment, you receive a non-exclusive right to use and keep your report internally and to share it with your advisers or employees. You may not copy, sell or reverse-engineer the tool, method or software, or offer it as your own service. Rights in the website you submit, and in its content, remain with their owners.
10. Availability, security and events beyond our control
We may interrupt the tool temporarily for security, maintenance or repairs. We take reasonable measures to limit errors and misuse. If delivery becomes definitively impossible because of a fault or an event beyond our reasonable control (force majeure), we apply the payment handling described in section 4. Nothing in this section limits your statutory right to delivery or an appropriate remedy.
11. Liability
You remain responsible for decisions you make based on the report. For business customers, our total liability for any breach of contract is limited to the amount paid for the audit concerned, except where the damage is caused by our intent or gross negligence. For consumers, this limitation applies only to the extent the law allows. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or under mandatory consumer law such as the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015.
12. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains which personal data and website data we process, why we do so, which providers are involved (including Stripe and Link) and what rights you have. When you order, we make a verifiable snapshot of the applicable terms and privacy information.
13. Complaints and support
Report a problem as soon as possible to info@damwriters.com, stating your order reference and the audited URL. We normally acknowledge your message within two working days and try to resolve a complaint within a reasonable time. This does not limit any statutory complaint or limitation periods. For questions about a card charge, receipt or refund of a purchase sold through Link, you can also contact Link at support.link.com.
Dam Writers does not commit in advance to any specific out-of-court dispute resolution body, unless participation is required by law or agreed for the specific dispute. Consumers can bring a dispute before the competent court.
14. Changes and governing law
The version recorded with your order continues to apply to that order. New versions apply only to later orders, unless a change is required by law or works solely in your favour. The contract is governed by Dutch law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you normally live, and you can bring a dispute before the courts that the applicable consumer law allows, including the courts of your home country.
If you are a consumer living in the United Kingdom, this includes your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, and you can bring proceedings in the courts of the part of the UK where you live.
